Last Second Shoppers Might Miss Out On Perfect Handcrafted Gift

Since I began offering my sculptures online, I have picked up on a couple trends that I wanted to share with everyone in regards to holiday shopping.  Obviously, the first trend most of you are far too familiar with.  That’s right, I am talking about procrastinating the purchase of that perfect gift for someone during the holidays.  If you have no idea what I am talking about, please feel free to stop reading now.   If you can relate and are considering purchasing an iron fish, crab, stingray or mermaid sculpture from me for someone this holiday season, please read on.

You will notice that in a couple places on my website I have placed an “FYI Urgent” in red font color text about the need to get your orders in early for Christmas and the holidays.  I want to stress this point to remind all customers and collectors that I am only one artisan/artist.  I employ one apprentice and we always start the holiday season a bit behind.  This leads me to tell you about the second trend I mentioned earlier.

September and October are dependably busy months due to increased wedding orders.  Also, for some reason, I notice that many customers and collectors get busy buying for themselves during this time of year.  I can’t explain why, but I can say that this puts us in a  position of strain(welcomed no doubt) in catering to my holiday customers time constraints.

For these specific reasons, I feel the need to communicate the urgency in placing your orders early this year, so that I can ship them to the recipient in time and so that we can avoid “last minute shopping headaches”.  The dead line for orders on all fish and crab sculptures will be December 15th.  The dead line for all mermaid and stingray

orders will be December 1st.

All orders after that will be considered on a first come first serve basis and a $45 rush delivery charge will be added on to all orders.  I hate to be “strict” on this but I feel it is important for everyone to understand the origin of my “holiday policy” prior to ordering and I hope that this post encourages everyone to NOT PROCRASTINATE!!!

Thanks to all for reading.
