Beach House Decorating with Lobster Sculptures
Greetings! Today we are going to show you a few decorating ideas featuring lobster sculptures. Every lobster decoration photographed here was handcrafted out of steel on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina by coastal artist Chase Allen. You can find out more about Chase and his work by clicking here.
When you look closely at this sculpture, you can see the painstaking attention to detail made by Chase. Notice the rustic finish and intricate cuts in the metal canvas that his work is now famous for.
In our blog the other day, which you can see by clicking here, we showcased 3 coastal decorating ideas for stingray sculptures featuring a Victorian coastal cottage from Martha’s Vineyard, that was photographed by our friends at Coastal Living. Today I am going to show you a few more pictures of that beautiful beach house, and also recommend a few spots where I think a lobster sculpture would look great!

This room might not be the biggest in the world, but look at how they’ve maximized the space. The two boys’ bunk beds are full of storage space underneath, saving a ton of room and hiding all of their mess I’m sure. I think a lobster sculpture would be perfect right above their beds, showcased against the solid white wall. It would match the red coastal accents in the room, and help the boys wake up every morning thinking about all the wonders of the ocean. The beds and quilts are from Pottery Barn.

This coastal decor picture was featured in our stingray blog the other day, but I can’t help thinking a lobster sculpture would look great where the whale decoration now sits. Highlighting the red accents in the other room, I think a lobster decoration would be truly eye-catching.

The lobster art photographed below is not from the same house, but I wanted to show you how impressive these sculptures look against a white wall. This nautical sculpture looks great over the sink in this beautiful coastal kitchen.

In the picture below, you can see how the lobster art pops off the white wall at the end of this hallway. Special thanks to Iron Fish Collector Jeff Cross for allowing us to photograph his beautiful beach house on Daufuskie Island.

Chase creates lobster sculptures in 3 sizes: 12″x 21″, 17″ x 26″, and 24″ x 40″! You can see them all by clicking here.
The photograph above shows off a few of Chase’s other nautical decorations. In addition to lobsters, he creates beautiful mermaid sculptures, crab art, stingrays, and of course fish! You can see them all here.
